If you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with the iconic range at luxury skincare brand La Prairie, now is the time. The innovative Swiss beauty brand has launched a new immersive experience, The Caviar Lab, in the heart of Sydney’s David Jones, celebrating the release of their latest innovation into the Skin Caviar range — Harmony L'Extrait.
First launched in 1987, La Prairie’s Skin Caviar range has long been admired and celebrated for its science-led approach to skincare, boldly utilising the power of caviar extract to firm and lift. That signature innovation and cutting edge-performance continues 35 years later with each new interaction of the range, including Harmony L'Extrait, a formula designed to strengthen and re-densify skin's vertical pillars.
The Caviar Lab, which is open until September 18th, offers five interactive stations that are available to view by the public (bookings are essential). That includes a look through the brand’s legendary science-led approach to skincare and the unique elements of the iconic Skin Caviar collection.
In keeping with the brand’s deeply rooted relationship to design, specifically inspiration from Bauhaus, one station includes a discovery of the La Prairie Women’s Bauhaus Collective, an initiative that pays homage to the pioneering women who were often left overshadowed by their male counterparts, celebrating their legacy and empowering great equity for the future generation of talents.
The Collective is made up of five talented graduates from the world’s leading art schools — Switzerland’s ECAL, the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Central Saint Martins in London, Hong Kong’s Design Institute and The School of Design Institute in Chicago, all of who were tasked with paying homage to the female figures of the Bauhaus by exploring their ‘mastery of harmony’.
The result is inspiring and creative interpretations that have been developed into digital artworks, including Kristin Chan’s transformative, perspective-bending 3D architectural world, Talia Golchin’s captivating digital sculpture and Gloria Fan Duan’s innovative digital animation piece inspired by Bauhaus textile design.
